Proof of Residency Requirements

To enroll a student at Douglas County West Community Schools, families must provide documentation verifying their full-time residency within the district.

Please locate your living situation below for specific requirements.

Option 1: Homeowners or Renters

If you are moving into or currently leasing a home in the District, you must provide two (2) of the following documents showing your in-district address:

• Nebraska Vehicle Registration (Must be valid)

• Insurance Policy or Card (Life, Health, Auto, or Home)

• Real Estate Tax Statement

• Nebraska Driver’s License

• Nebraska Voter Registration Card

• Mortgage, Lease, or Rental Agreement (Lease/rental agreements must include landlord contact information)

Option 2: Building a New Home

For families who have purchased a lot and are building a home in the District, the following are required:

• Lot Purchase Agreement

• Builder’s Agreement (Must explicitly state that the build will be in progress within the current school year)
